About

It’s nice to meet you.

Name: Jenna Cook

Education : University of Missouri

Major: Bachelor of Journalism, emphasis in Strategic Communication (Advertising) w/ a Business Minor

Expected Graduation Date: May 2013

I spent my whole childhood in a small college town in Missouri before I moved to Columbia, a bigger college town also in (you guessed it) Missouri. Living in a small town in the Midwest has always fostered my sense of adventure and my desire to try new things. I always say I’ll try anything twice, because you never know how you will feel about something the second time around. I’m also a very passionate person. I get easily excited about the little things in life, because I feel that if you overlook the little things, you’ll miss the big picture.

I am a unique individual. Well, at least my mom says I am. Moms’ opinions still count, right? Right. Okay, good. I like to march to the beat of a different drum, but maybe that’s just because I have no rhythm and I would look awkward trying to march to the beat of anyone else’s drum. Nevertheless, I’ve made it this far in life and being myself has made me a pretty happy person.

I’m an avid reader. My favorite authors have inspired me to be a better writer. My Kindle is my best friend, because its an amazing feeling to always have a library of your favorite books on hand. My dream is to travel the world and learn about other cultures.

I aspire to work in the advertising industry as a copywriter.  I am a student in the Journalism School at the University of Missouri and have learned about advertising through the “Missouri Method,” which is hands-on work within my major. Other than my education, I have also had real experience working in an advertising agency as a copywriting intern.

Thanks for stumbling on my site. If you feel so inclined, take a look at my work or connect with me on LinkedIn. Or go have a cocktail. You work hard and everyone deserves a little relaxation.
